ネイティブ・アメリカンの血を引き、かつて高校のフットボールのスターだったマイケル・トンプソンは刑務所の中で勧誘され、アーリアン・ブラザーフッドに加入。獄中で２２人を殺害した。しかし、脱退したメンバーの両親と家族が殺された事件が起こると組織を脱退し、当局への情報提供者に転向。彼は暗殺リストに入ったことを意味する「ｉｎ ｔｈｅ ｈａｔ」となり、命を狙われながら２０年にわたって組織の壊滅のための活動を行なっている。
